WHERE WE ARE NOW

  • Bench Maji as an administrative Zone has over 1000 Containers (19200MT) or 19,200,000 kgs annual production; 95% of which is produced by small holder farmers.

  • 500 containers (9600MT) is produced by member farmers of the Union and the rest is produced by non-member farmers.

  • The union exports over 100 containers (1920MT) of coffee annually and member farmers sell the remaining 80% (400 Containers/7680MT) to the local Market.

WHERE WE’RE GOING

  • The Union has a strategic plan and is working to expand member farmers’ cooperatives and increase members’ annual coffee production to 700 Containers (13440MT) and export volume to 500 Containers (9600MT) in 5 Years.
